2011 Favourites

A re-up of my best of 2011, with no major label 'product' stinking it up. I've just checked this list, and all the albums I've selected these tracks from are high quality, so do yourself a favour and pick one up. I've tried to pick a representative track in each case, but there's always Youtube if you want to explore these artists further.

Köhn - The Ocean That Has No West And No East

Just a Youtube clip this time - nothing to download. From the album 'We Need More Space In The Cosmos', which is excellent. Although this may be the standout track, it's a great album. Blissful, drifting space of the pastoral organic variety. I bought my LP from Aguirre, but they don't seem to have it in stock right now - it appears to be available on LP only.
Some sellers have it on Discogs

Coil

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this blog. There may be some re-ups, there may be some Youtube clips for newer releases, as I don't like to post whole albums until they've been out for a couple of years. Maybe I will edit my hissy fit below. (Maybe not, as I stand by everything in it.)
In the meantime, here is a re-upload of my personal selection of Coil favourites - it may differ slightly from the last one I posted, as I deleted that playlist from my itunes.
This is music that has consistently blown my mind and transported me every time I have listened to it over the years. Balance and Sleazy were two wizards of aural delight, and are still sadly missed, I'm sure, by many around the world.

You can download and unpack these files separately. Depositfiles is the host.
